About

Letters to Amanda

Letters to Amanda was created out of a deep appreciation for the power of written words to preserve emotion, history, and human connection.

Inspired by the book Letters to Amanda, this website is built as a space to reflect on the timeless impact of personal letters—the way they capture moments, relationships, hope, distance, memory, and the experiences that shape people across generations.

The original work that inspired this project demonstrates how letters can become more than communication; they become records of life itself. This website continues that spirit by creating a place where stories, thoughts, reflections, and meaningful conversations can live beyond a single moment.

At its core, Letters to Amanda is anonymous.

This is a place where anyone can share their thoughts, experiences, confessions, memories, questions, gratitude, or words left unsaid—without needing to reveal who they are. Sometimes the most honest things are the hardest to say out loud, and anonymity creates space for openness and authenticity.

There are two ways to submit a letter:

• Email your letter to letterstoamanda26@gmail.com
• Submit directly through the website using the Submit a Letter page

Every submission is treated as a personal story shared in trust and presented with respect for the writer’s privacy.

Whether you arrived here through an interest in history, storytelling, or simply a curiosity about the name, Letters to Amanda exists to celebrate the idea that words written with intention can endure.

Thank you for visiting and becoming part of the story.
